1. What CSZone is
CSZone is a Computer Science revision platform for secondary school students (GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level). It provides curriculum-aligned notes, mini tests, worksheets, and mock exam papers mapped to all major UK and international Computer Science specifications.
CSZone is a one-directional learning tool. Students read content, complete assessments, and have their progress tracked by their teacher. It is not a communication platform, a social network, or a content-creation tool.
2. Platform design — no communication between users
CSZone does not include any of the following features, by design:
- No student-to-student messaging or chat
- No student-to-teacher direct messaging
- No public-facing comment sections or forums
- No student-generated content that is visible to other users
- No profile pages or social features
- No notifications that originate from other students
The only interactions students have with the platform are: reading lesson content, completing assessments, and marking lessons as done. None of these interactions are visible to other students.
3. Content appropriateness
All content on CSZone is produced by qualified educators and aligned to official exam board specifications (OCR, AQA, Cambridge, Edexcel). The platform covers Computer Science topics including programming, data structures, computer systems, networking, and algorithms. There is no subjective, political, or sensitive content beyond what appears in official examination specifications.
The platform is designed for students aged 14–18. No content is targeted at or appropriate for students under 13. School administrators are responsible for ensuring that any students under 13 have appropriate parental consent before being enrolled.
4. Advertising and commercial content
CSZone contains no advertising of any kind. Students are never shown third-party adverts, sponsored content, affiliate links, or commercial promotions. The only monetisation model is subscription-based access paid for by students, parents, or schools directly.
5. Teacher oversight
Teachers with a school licence have access to a dedicated teacher dashboard. From this dashboard, teachers can:
- See which lessons each student in their class has completed
- Review mock paper scores and attempt history
- Assign specific mock papers to their class
- Add private notes about individual students (visible only to that teacher)
- Manage class membership — adding and removing students
- Reset individual student passwords where needed
This oversight capability directly supports teachers in monitoring student engagement and flagging students who may be disengaged or struggling.
6. Data protection
CSZone processes student personal data (name, email address, progress, mock exam scores) as a data processor acting on behalf of the school. Full details are set out in our Data Processing Agreement and Privacy Policy. In summary:
- All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored encrypted
- Student data is never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for purposes beyond operating the platform
- Role-based access control ensures students cannot access other students' data
- Data is stored on EU-based servers (Supabase, Frankfurt)
- Schools can request full deletion of their student data at any time
7. Access controls
Student access to CSZone is controlled at the school level. Teachers create student invites linked to a specific class. Students can only join a class via a secure invite link issued by their teacher. There is no open self-registration path for school-licensed students.
Lesson content is gated behind authentication — no lesson material is accessible without being signed in to an account.
8. Reporting a concern

We aim to respond to all safeguarding-related communications within one working day. For urgent data breach concerns, we will acknowledge within 24 hours.
Please note: CSZone is a platform provider, not a school. Safeguarding disclosures made by students using the platform should be handled through your school's own safeguarding procedures and Designated Safeguarding Lead. CSZone does not have the ability to make direct welfare referrals.
9. Related policies

This statement will be reviewed and updated annually or following any significant change to the platform's features or data practices.
